Psychotherapy for support with anxiety and self-doubt

Before training as a Psychotherapist I worked as a commercial designer. I also have an Art practice.

I have over 15 years experience working with adults on issues such as;

I offer talking therapy because when you find the right person to work with it is truly transformative. In the sessions you having my undivided attention along with my reflections, which helps reorganise and re-frame whatever might be feeling out of place or distressing within you. This offers a very unique dynamic that we don't experience our in the usual interactions of our lives.

 

 

What can you expect from me?

My style of therapy is relational, which mean we talk about you and your life together. I don't silently observe you but instead I see our work as collaborative and my methods are designed to help you find the answers within yourself. My approach is Integrative having been trained in Transpersonal, Psychodynamic and Existential modalities. I have a Masters degree in Psychotherapy as well as being trained in dream work, Eco Psychology and relationships. Over the past 30 years I've also studied mindfulness and various meditation methods.

In our work together we'll explore what might be stopping you or holding you back from living and feeling the way you would like. How would you really like to feel in yourself, your life and your relationships? In my practice I offer unique methods that will help you free yourself, develop peace and confidence and move forward in a way that is sustainable.

Anxiety

Do you find it difficult to relax and spend a lot of energy worrying or thinking about things that have passed or may happen in the future?

If so you are not alone even though at times when you feel overwhelmed you feel very alone. We all get lost in our thinking and our beliefs. We are conditioned to believe our thoughts but as we know this often leads to anxiety. With too much on our minds we naturally feels stressed and unable to cope. 

I provide tried and tested methods to support you at times of anxiety and talking about your experiences will help you understand where this is coming from and what you can do to calm yourself and feel more confident.

Self-Doubt 

Self-doubt is largely made of those internal critics that tell you you are too much or not good enough. They inform you that it isn't safe to do the thing you might long to. As a result you might keep yourself limited, remain in your comfort zone, stay small, stay quiet. 

It's good to know that the purpose of self-doubt is to keep you safe and protect your ego from possible humiliation. This all sounds reasonable until you realise you are not doing, saying or being what you would like.

In our work together I will introduce you to a mapping system where to can go the heart of your fears and doubts and they free yourself in order to move forward.

Unhappiness
